Dear Parents

We will be saying a fond farewell to Mrs Cat Pymble who is leaving Motcombe.  Mrs Pymble has been a fantastic Teaching Assistant and we will miss her energy and enthusiasm and her choreography skills at show times!

Best wishes Cat, we know you will keep in touch!

Classrooms for Next Year

Children going to Y2 in September will be in the same classroom as last year with the same teacher.

On Monday 7 September the children currently in FS will go to their FS classroom.  Their FS

Teacher will take them to their new Y1 class to meet their new teacher (please see the welcome video from your child’s new teacher which be on our website from Wednesday afternoon).  As part of transition the FS teacher will team teach with the Y1 teacher for the first two days.

At the end of the day on Monday, please collect your child from the outside area in front of the Y1 classrooms.  Don’t worry if you are not sure where this is, please come through the main playground gates and a member of staff will be there to direct you.

On the second day, Tuesday 8 September, please bring your child straight to their Y1 classroom in the morning and this will be their new routine.

Footwear

There will be a daily PE session for the children from September.  Please can your child either wear black trainers to school or could you please ensure that they have trainers (rather than plimsolls) in school as they will be taking part in a daily kilometre.  This will start with a mixture of walking and jogging building up to jogging one kilometre every day.

Have a lovely summer!  See you in September.
