We are pleased to welcome Viktorija Vasiliauskaite to the Motcombe School Governing Board as a parent governor.
Victoria is the parent of a child in Purple Emperor class.
We also have a vacancy for a co-opted governor, if you would like information about this or if you have any questions about the role of the Governing Board please email email@example.com
Whole school attendance this week is 97.47%
Congratulations to Purple Emperor and Blue Morpho classes who both have 100% attendance this week!
Foundation Stage Parent’s Evening
Please make a note of the dates for this (above). You will be informed when the booking system is open for this after half term.
After half term the lunch choices will be as follows:-
Jacket Potato with a choice of cheese, tuna or baked beans
School packed lunches will still be available.
Lunches will still be eaten in the classrooms.
After half term we will be sending one book home each week for children in KS1. Each book will be part of our banded reading scheme. Every Thursday the book must be brought back to school and put in the class box which will be outside the classroom. This box will then be put away for sanitising reasons. Your child will then be issued with a new book to bring home.
Here is a reminder of the link to Oxford Owls which you can continue to use –
Unfortunately we will not be able to have our KS1 Expert Day in the normal way. However, we will be posting some photographs on Class Dojo next Friday for you to see some of the things the children have been learning this term.
A Poppy Appeal Reminder
We would very much like to continue to support this appeal and we are hoping to hold our usual Remembrance Service in the playground for the school community only.
We won’t be able to sell poppies in the school this year due to the pandemic but the children will be making their own in school.
If you would like to make a donation please do so online via The Poppy Shop website for the British Legion. Donate to the Poppy Appeal
Here is a link to a colouring page you may wish to download for your child to colour in and display in a window at home. Poppy Colouring Page
