Some lovely news to share with you! Emilia in Monarch class donated her hair to the Little Princess Trust and received a certificate for raising £808! Well done Emilia!
We are always very proud of our children and it is lovely to share when they do something extraordinary!
Daniel from Monarch class, has been doing something very special since Christmas! He has raised more than £300 for Eastbourne Foodbank.
After learning about the word ‘charity’ at school and what it means, Daniel and his parents started talking about foodbanks and his mum showed him the Marcus Rashford documentary. Following that, Daniel decided that he wanted to help.
First, he said he would donate his Christmas money and tooth fairy money to charity. Then, when his parents put this on their Facebook pages there was a lovely response. His dad said: “One of my friends posted that he would donate £10 if Daniel drew a picture of a police car. “It has ended with around 20 requests for Daniel to do a drawing in return for donations ranging from £5 to £30.” Daniel is keen to carry on with his charity work, he’s even started talking about selling toys he no longer uses. Well done Daniel
