We hope you are all well and you enjoy doing the following activities together.

 

Activity 1

Play the listening game

 

Take out several miscellaneous items. Encourage your child to look at all the items, and then take them away. Next, ask your child to hide his or her eyes and listen as you pick up an item and make sounds with it. Ask the child to guess which item made the sound. Examples of items might be a comb (run your fingers along it), a glass (gently tap it), cymbals, shakers, sandpaper, blocks rubbed together, a pot and spoon. Be creative and have fun!

 

Activity 2
Go on a creature detective walk. This walk could be to any location you choose including your local neighbourhood or park, beach or woodland.  Encourage your child to see how many different creatures or signs of creatures including footprints they can find. Remember to look up and look under stones etc.. You then might enjoy engaging their imagination and asking them to see if they can find anything that looks like a creature. For example there might be a rock that looks like dog or a cloud that looks like a dolphin.
