Admissions to Motcombe School are dealt with by the Local Authority.  The School Admissions Code can be found on the Policies page of our website.

All children enter Foundation Stage in the September of the academic year in which they turn five.

We have a very good transition period which ensures that children settle well into school.

Children may join our school throughout the year if places are available.  The Local Authority allocate these places so you will need to apply via the link above.

Transfer to Junior School

Children transfer to a Junior School in the September following their seventh birthday.  The majority of children from Motcombe School transfer to Ocklynge School.

Most children start school full-time in the September after they turn 4.
